The Daily Wire premiered the film on January 14 through its online platform with 300,000 viewers tuning in to watch the movie.

Sonnier recalled to Shapiro that after Run Hide Fight had been completed, “The response to the movie from the critical community, which was so perverted, and the ultimate challenges in selling the movie to a traditional Hollywood distributor, opened the door for me to contact you again and say, literally, ‘I think you should come on board this movie and distribute it.’ And then the rest is history.” I’m going to shelter the movie and we’re going to make it in my system with independent money so that I can make it totally unperverted.’”Īs the project came together, Bonfire Legend found a decommissioned middle school in Red Oak, just south of Dallas, that served as the ideal filming location.
He continued, “‘And so I’m going to take the responsibility. I’m going to take the personal responsibility of the movie, even beyond the director, even beyond the actors, even beyond my producers, and everything like that, because I have lived with the personal tragedy of losing not one but two parents to gun violence,’” said Sonnier. “So I said, ‘This script deserves to be made.
